Tafelsig Community to “Break the Cycle: From Gangs to Role Models” with Worship, Food and Safety Outreach on 22 August 2026.

CAPE TOWN, South Africa — Residents of Tafelsig and Mitchells Plain are invited to BREAK THE CYCLE: From Gangs to Role Models, a community day focused on transformation, hope and practical support on Saturday, 22 August 2026 at 16 Woody Street, Tafelsig.

As shown on the official event poster, the event is built around the message of breaking the cycle from gangs to role models by giving young people positive alternatives, mentorship and skills to lead in their communities.

What to expect
– Performance and live drama to engage youth and families
– Motivational speaking from local leaders and public figures
– Free meal for those in need
– Joint worship and community prayer
– Interactive safety sessions with the City of Cape Town Fire and Rescue Service

The day will combine spiritual upliftment with real support: food for those in need, safety education, Real-life Drama performances and messages aimed at steering youth away from gang involvement toward leadership and service.

The event is organised by Njum Njum Doughnuts, under the umbrella of Life Abundance Worship Centre. In Partnership with Bradley Williams and Bradwin Daniels.
