On July 18, the world celebrates Nelson Mandela’s legacy — a reminder that each of us has the power to bring change. Mandela Day is not just a date on the calendar; it’s a call to action. This year, Mini Njum Njum Doughnuts, in partnership with Blue Radio and other community leaders, invites you to join the Mandela Day Food Drive and help make a real difference.

Honoring Mandela’s Legacy

Nelson Mandela believed in unity, compassion, and service. His words, “It is in your hands to make a better world for all who live in it,” inspire us to act. By donating food, clothing, or funds, you’re not only meeting immediate needs — you’re feeding hope and uplifting families across South Africa.

What You Can Donate

We are collecting essential items to support households in need. Contributions may include:

  • Chicken
  • Oil
  • Rice
  • Spices
  • Canned foods
  • Clothes
  • Bread

All non-perishable items are welcome. Every donation, no matter the size, brings hope to someone’s table.

Ways to Get Involved

  • Donate food: Drop off items at collection points organized by our partners.
  • Donate money: Contributions can be made directly to Capitec Bank (Acc. No.: 2525804151, Branch code: 470010, Ref: Mandela Day Food Drive).
  • Spread the word: Share this initiative with friends, family, and on social media to amplify its reach.
